Remember my New Year’s resolution? It might be the first one I’ve ever enjoyed keeping because it yields tasty dividends — most of the time. About 99% of the time I happen upon finds like a stinky cheese that tastes good, ugly food that’s pleasant on the palette, or a bizarre sounding recipe that’s plain awesome. But that other 1% of the time? Well, it’s a big, fat bummer and sometimes outright gross. Take this quinoa bread; it looked toasty and sounded healthy, but turns out it’s just dense, sour, and foul smelling. Hopefully, that’s one of very few frogs I’ll kiss on the search to find my food prince(s).
