Make Your Own: Mardi Gras Mask

Yes, yes, I’m fully aware that we’re nowhere close to Mardi Gras. However, I’m heading to Alt Summit and that’ll be (almost) as big a party as Mardi Gras (in fun at least). For the main party, there’s a green theme and since I ignored that when I packed, I decided to make a mask to at least accessorize in green. Lucky for me, I’m traveling with my friends, Delilah and Nicole, who are ultimates when it comes to all things preserving and crafting and they helped me make this super simple Mardi Gras Mask. Here’s what you need to make it happen:

Thin the Tacky Glue out with a bit of water then paint it on the mask in a thin layer. Immediately start to sprinkle glitter all over the mask (let excess fall on a paper towel)… DIY Mardi Gras Mask from www.aidamollenkamp.com

…repeat until the whole mask is covered in glitter. Let the excess glitter fall off then set aside to dry thoroughly, at least 20 minutes. Let dry then wear this snazzy Mardi Gras Mask anytime you want to channel the Big Easy.
